Rotary Club of Paramus sponsored a special guest Rotarian

Reverend Fr. Lazar S. Pattakadavu from Rotary International District 3211 in India paid a surprise visit to the Paramus Rotary club meeting on July 28^th.

While staying with his cousin in Paramus, he noticed one of Rotary Club of Paramus signs. He contacted Debbie Cibelli who connected him with President Klas.

Father Pattakadavu parish in India supports over 3,000 families. This was his 2nd visit to America since he was ordained 32 years ago.

As one of the founding members and Past President of the Rotary Club of Greater Kollam in 2002, he is the only Catholic Priest who has been serving Humanity through Rotary in his District of some 125 clubs.

He is an active, vibrant and dedicated Rotarian who wants to make a difference

Father Lazar is on a brief visit with a cousin in Paramus before heading off to Chicago before returning back home to India.

Boys and Girls Club of Lodi Receive Covid-19 Test kits

At the Rotary Club of Paramus meeting held on July 28^th at Season’s, Past President Nicholas Laganella present Joseph Licata from the Boys and Girls Club of Lodi with Covid -19 test kits. Mr. Licata was very appreciative of the gift from Gift of Life and Rotary

March 2023 River Cruise down the Danube

Come aboard as we travel down “the Danube Waltz” from Budapest to Passau. This all-inclusive (including the airfare) will depart on March 15^th for 8 days. A $25 deposit pp will hold your spot. The balance will be due September 30^th. If paying by e-check you will receive an additional 3.3%. Joe will make himself available ½ hour before and after the meeting to discuss.

Metropolitan Plant Exchange Sale Continues
Dawn Philibosian announce we will be continuing the Metropolitan Plant Sale until the end of the year. With fall right around the corner, purchase $50 worth of mums, hay, pumpkins etc. and the Rotary will receive $10.00. Make sure to ask down for the certificate.

District News and Notes:

The Rotary Club of Fort Lee will have a booth at the St. Rocco Feast (110 Main St. Fort Lee, NJ) from Wednesday, August 3 to Sunday, August 7. Hours are Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 6 PM – 11 PM, Saturday 4 PM – 11 PM and Sunday 2 PM – 11 PM. The event features food, games, a raffle and live entertainment. The Maywood Rotary Club is planning a “Giving Shelf” for the Fall. It will be used to offer (anonymously) school supplies and/or travel size toiletries in the Maywood Public Library (459 Maywood Ave., Maywood, NJ).
