RADIAN EDITION - JANUARY 31, 2019

Hello Rotarians,

As we say goodbye to January, please stay safe and warm during this bitter cold weather we are having.  Remember to check on someone who might need an extra hand during these winter months.

Last week, we enjoyed the company of 25 members and had an interesting discussion with Sean Mack about the legalization of Marijuana.

Check out the photo albums below to see what fun was had at our First Murder Mystery at Maggiano's in Hackensack.

The next Board meeting will be on February 12.  All are welcomed to join us @ Bacari Grill at 6:30.  Dinner cost is $35 cash only.  All past recorded minutes are available on ClubRunner.

Thank you and have a great week!
Dawn Feorenzo, Secretary
MURDER MYSTERY

Wonderful 1st Paramus Rotary Murder Mystery evening! 🎭🎬🔪⚰️💰🎞🎥

The plot: Dr. Peter 👨🏽‍⚕️has a small Gambling🃏 problem owes his college buddy aka bookie $25K. 💰💰

Dr Peter 👨🏽‍⚕️finds out that Dan Holdefehr is an Architect 🏡 by day and Chippendale Dancer by night 🕺💵!

No wonder he and Rich Sinischalchi have become so close! 🤔🧐

So Dr. Peter 👨🏽‍⚕️ blackmails 📫 Dan so he can pay off his bookie 📓💵. But since Peter keeps gambling 🃏 he continues to blackmail Dan🕺. 💰😳

Dan’s 🕺first attempt at murder 🔪is to hire a hit man to knock off Peter 👨🏽‍⚕️but he is caught before he can complete the job. 👮🏻‍♂️🔎

Then Dan 🕺attempts to poison Peter’s ☠️ drink 🍸 but while being detained for questions 👮🏻‍♂️Dr Peter 👨🏽‍⚕️offers his drink 🥃☠️ to his bookie and the bookie ☠️🤢🤮dies instead ⚰️. The bookie had a little black book 📓 that indicated that not only did Dr. Peter owe him $25k💵, but Dawn Feorenzo owed him $10K 💵😲 and Kevin Smith a whopping $1.98 😂

Peter 👨🏽‍⚕️is asked to stay in sight because it is believed he is the intended victim rather then the Murder😳🔎

Diane leaves the room💄💋👩🏻 and runs into Peter 👨🏽‍⚕️in the hallway to confront him about Blackmailing ✉️ her friend Dan🕺. Diane is okay with Dan’s little hobby 🕺and just wants Peter 👨🏽‍⚕️to stop. 🛑

Peter 👨🏽‍⚕️and Diane 👸🏻begin to argue🤬🤬 and Peter 👨🏽‍⚕️pulls a knife 🔪on Diane👸🏻.

They struggle and Peter 👨🏽‍⚕️falls in the knife 🔪......9 🔪🔪🔪🔪🔪🔪🔪🔪🔪Times!!!🤣😂🤣😂💪

Diane 👸🏻💄💋enters the room as if nothing happened and continues with her dinner. 🍸🍝🍰

Just then Dr. Peter 👨🏽‍⚕️stumbles into the room bleeding 🔪from his multiple stab wounds and falls to the ground. 😲

Before he dies he tells Dawn Feorenzo 👸🏼madam secretary that he is so sorry her term as President👸🏼 of the Paramus Rotary Club will happen sooner now that he is gone. Peter dies 👨🏽‍⚕️😱🔪

After investigating all the clues Detective Sgt. Rocco 👮🏻‍♂️begins to question Dan 🕺about his little hobby and Diane 👸🏻💋💄about her whereabouts.

Diane 👸🏻is attested for Murdering Dr. Peter👨🏽‍⚕️. 😲

The Feorenzo Table has two retired police officers 👮🏻‍♂️👮‍♂️who assisted in solving the murder and knew it had to be President Diane Vasile-Falcone 👸🏻 that murdered Doctor Peter👨🏽‍⚕️🔪☠️

Thank you all for attending we hope you enjoyed the evening. Thank you for all your continued support of Paramus Rotary. A special Thank you to Elaine Rovetto for the coordination of this event and picking this talented cast of characters. 👏👏👏👏

Sean Mack - Legalization of Marijuana - Myths Dispelled
Scott Lippert introduced his colleague, Sean Mack.  Sean is a lawyer who is well educated on the subject matter of marijuana.  He explained the legalization of marijuana or better yet, the lack of.  Legislation has stalled on legalizing the drug for many reasons, both political and financial.  Marijuana is not considered a Class 1 drug anymore.  Applications for licenses are not all the same.  Vertical Integration - Cannabis Grower (Class 1), Cannabis Processor (Class 2), Cannabis Wholesaler (Class 3), Cannabis Retailer (Class 4).  The future remains to be seen on when legalization will happen and if the State and Federal Government will ever be on the same page.
