{Club News from September 20, 2018}
     We had a last minute change to our program due to our speaker not feeling well when she arrived.  So we were all honored with a "Mike Kurzawski Special".  Season's had us in the small divided side of the Ballroom and it was a cozy atmosphere with our 29 (out of 75 active members) Rotarians who attended.  Marion Cooper was a guest and we had a couple of M.I.A.'s back.  We were happy to see them.  If you know of a Rotarian who hasn't been at a meeting in a while, pick up the phone and give them a quick hello.
     Two events coming up support our Heart Screening Program.  Comedy Night and GOL Golf Classic.  Nick Laganella informed us of yet another cardiac arrest with a child.  This recent situation was in Garfield and luckily because of quick reactions of the staff and a defibrillator they were able to save the child.  This child was diagnosed with Cardiomyopathy.  GOL America will now be offering the Screening Program at Garfield High School to the 327 incoming freshman.  Please help support our events to fund projects like this one.

ANNUAL COMEDY NIGHT
SUCCESS!
With a packed room, our 3 Headliners, Eric McMahon, Jim DeLakis, and Pete Michaels, did a fabulous job entertaining us Friday night.  Thank you "Danny C Entertainment" for always hitting the mark!  A big congratulations to Anna & Val Kipiniak for winning the 50/50!!  Thank you all for your support.
