Paramus Rotary Club Meeting of Thursday April 12, 2018 Tom's Wells Mountain Foundation has visited our club many times regarding the Wells Mountain Initiative and enjoyed past support from the Paramus Rotary Club. He visited our club again today and presented and exceptional presentation! The Wells Mountain Initiative has a WMI Scholar working in the United States this year. His name is Brian Juma from Kenya and they both shared great stories together! Wells Mountain Initiative works to create social change through education and community building by providing bright young people in the developing world with Student Scholarships and skills training, building a network of grassroots leaders who are catalyzing community transformation. Young people are able to realize their full potential and become leaders in creating the changes they want to see in their communities and, ultimately, the world. Wells Mountain Initiative supports undergraduate students obtaining degrees in community-oriented fields, and encourages them to be the agents of change in their own communities, nations and the world. WMI supports students pursuing degrees that will best help their own communities, including medicine & health services, community development, law, education, social sciences and engineering.
