Paramus Rotary Club Meeting of Thursday April 15, 2021

Paramus Rotary Club Meeting of Thursday, April 15, 2021

Our guest speakers for April 15, 2021, were Nart Assad and his sons, The Science Boys.

The four Assad brothers, aka The Science Boys, and their engineer dad, Nart Assad, shared with us their project: Fighting COVID-19 with UVC.

The Science Boys are: brothers Adam - 1st Grade/JFK Elementary; Rayan - 6th Grade/Anthony Wayne Middle School; Baslan - 9th Grade/Wayne Hills High School; and Mohammad 10th Grade/Wayne Hills High School.

Every member of this team presented to the Club, explaining how they have harnessed their knowledge in science, engineering, and robotics since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic to look for ways to fight the virus and save lives. The Science Boys’ mottos is:

“Saving One Life Is Like Saving The Whole World!”

Over a year ago, The Science Boys and their dad created a functional patient ventilator prototype in their basement-based robotics workshop in Wayny, NJ. This prototype demonstrated that such a system could be readily available to combat the worldwide shortage of ventilators.

Since then, The Science Boys, with minimal assistance from their father, spearheaded the creation of a UVC sanitizing system that can be used to lower the COVID-19 infection risk. The Science Boys handled everything, from the physical creation of the UVC prototype, to managing project logistics, and, finally, to developing the protocols to provide this service FREE OF CHARGE to public places in their community, such as police stations, hospitals, schools, municipal buildings, fire stations, small businesses, places of worship, and community centers.

Their efficient UVC sanitizing system does not use chemicals, delivers rapid results in a minimal amount of time, can be used in multiple locations, requires minimal labor, and is administered/supervised remotely by an experienced technician. Their system has an automatic shut-off function should a person(s) or pet(s) enter the space being sanitized. The Science Boys suggest utilizing their system during off hours/at night.

The Science Boys have developed four types of UVC sanitizing systems. They are:
  1. Surface Disinfecting
  2. Air Disinfecting
  3. Water Disinfecting
  4. Enclosed Disinfecting Container
If you would like to learn more about this remarkable UVC Sanitizing prototype, please contact Nart Asaad via email at nart@nartgroup.com, or by phone at +1-202 577 5635.

Wayne, NJ resident Nart Assad is a Software Engineer and works for LiveTechnology. He received his Master of Software Engineering and his Advanced Diploma in Data and Systems Analysis from Oxford University, United Kingdom.  Mr. Asaad  uses his background in science and technology to help his children and their friends to expand their knowledge of these disciplines in order to make positive contributions to the world.
