RADIAN EDITION - Sept 5, 2019

Hello Rotarians

We have a lunch meeting tomorrow, with a presentation from Jeanie Weber!

So we will have a Rotary / Heart Scan table at both the Tuesday September 10th New Parent Orientation (for all parents of incoming students) at PHS at 6:30pm.

We also have a table set up for the PHS Back to School Night on Wednesday September 18th at 7PM. This is open to all parents of PHS students.

We will have information flyers about the FREE Heart Scanning to give out. It will also provide us an opportunity to answer any questions and have some dialog with the parents.

So now comes the "service above self" part  - we need Rotary members to be at the tables on those nights.

Nick met with Principal Keam and our new screening company to go over how we will proceed with next year's scans.  We are opening up to grades 9-12 and will be addressing privacy issues.  We are in need of privacy screens to be used in the small gym of the High School.  Please see Nick or Dawn with any info.

Kevin Shanman and Jean Jadevaia gave a very interesting bio presentation and discussed about what they do and about things that matter to them!  Kevin has a relative, Randi the song, "Brandy you are a fine girl" by Looking Glass was written about!  You can sit next to someone and have lunch and not know some very interesting things about someone!  Very interesting bio presentations!  Another reason to come to Rotary lunch!
