Camp Nejeda Walkathon
On Sunday, September 26, 2021, Camp Nejeda will be hosting its 17th annual Walkathon. They are seeking volunteers and would welcome our support! They have a fundraising goal of $95,000 and with this walkathon they hope to reach it and surpass it.

We are still looking for volunteers for this project. So far we have 5 Volunteers but the more the merrier. They do require proof of COVID-19 vaccine for volunteers to be allowed to help out given the increased risk. Please reach out to Dr. Peter Kantzilieris so we can coordinate travel. This will be a fun filled day so please consider helping out!!

The mission of the Camp Nejeda Foundation is to enhance the lives of people with type 1 diabetes and their families through education, empowerment, camaraderie, supportive programs, and fun.

District Extending the Deadline to Pay for Two New Members per Club until September 30
Many clubs have already begun to recruit two new members under DG John Susani's terrific offer to pay for both the Rotary International Dues and the District Dues. Because several clubs are not meeting now due to so many vacations, plus Labor Day and the Jewish holidays coming up,  DG John has graciously extended the deadline for this to September  30. Once again, clubs are encouraged to nominate family members (siblings, spouses, adult children) of Board members or other active members.  All clubs should report the names and contact information of these new members to Membership Chair JoEllen Knie at joellenknie@gmail.com by September 20. Clubs should also try to develop satellite clubs, clubs for special interests, corporate clubs. DG John Susani has a goal of getting at least 100 new members by the end of September.
