The Bureau wants to inform consumers. Information is your best defense. They offer a free service to check the background of financial professionals. Are they registered? Licensed? What types of licenses and what firms they last worked with? The agency is responsible for registering investment adviser representatives, broker dealers and investment advisory firms. In addition, they examine to make sure they are compliant with securities law and regulation. They also handle complaints and investigations.
Investing should be a positive experience. Take advantage of the free service.
National Night Out - Our information table included vintage Radians and our own Rotary coloring books for the children. Let's not forget to mention the crayons and the lollipops. Thank you to our volunteers that showed up to help with the table.
