As an experienced educator, he is an accomplished trainer and panelist on a variety of topics: leadership, sales, trust, cash flow, literacy, public speaking, customer service, and field coaching.

Vito is a highly regarded Reader/Lector at his church and was the last North American person to speak with Mother Teresa before her death.

Even in her lifetime, Mother Teresa was an icon of God’s tender mercy, radiating the light of God’s love to so many through the works of mercy, both material and spiritual.
Mother Teresa’s mission was to “light the light of those in darkness on earth.”
With her canonization, the Church presents her as a model and intercessor of those who, like her, “long to light the fire of love and peace throughout the world.”
She can be taken as a patron saint especially for those who are most in need of God’s mercy.

Mother Teresa’s calling card spoke volumes about her service, sacrifice, and vision of leadership:

The fruit of SILENCE is Prayer
The fruit of PRAYER is Faith
The fruit of FAITH is Love
The fruit of LOVE is Service
The fruit of SERVICE is Peace

Vito shared some books and magazines about mother Teresa:

Camp Nejeda Walkathon
On Sunday, September 26, 2021, Camp Nejeda will be hosting its 17th annual Walkathon. They are seeking volunteers and would welcome our support! They have a fundraising goal of $95,000 and with this walkathon they hope to reach it and surpass it.

We are still looking for volunteers for this project. So far we have 5 Volunteers but the more the merrier. They do require proof of COVID-19 vaccine for volunteers to be allowed to help out given the increased risk. Please reach out to Dr. Peter Kantzilieris so we can coordinate travel. This will be a fun filled day so please consider helping out!!

The mission of the Camp Nejeda Foundation is to enhance the lives of people with type 1 diabetes and their families through education, empowerment, camaraderie, supportive programs, and fun.

District Extending the Deadline to Pay for Two New Members per Club until September 30
Many clubs have already begun to recruit two new members under DG John Susani's terrific offer to pay for both the Rotary International Dues and the District Dues. Because several clubs are not meeting now due to so many vacations, plus Labor Day and the Jewish holidays coming up,  DG John has graciously extended the deadline for this to September  30. Once again, clubs are encouraged to nominate family members (siblings, spouses, adult children) of Board members or other active members.  All clubs should report the names and contact information of these new members to Membership Chair JoEllen Knie at joellenknie@gmail.com by September 20. Clubs should also try to develop satellite clubs, clubs for special interests, corporate clubs. DG John Susani has a goal of getting at least 100 new members by the end of September.

See you on 09/30/2021
Governor John Susani will be visiting our club on Thursday, September 30, 2021.  It would be greatly appreciated to have the whole board available to attend a smaller business meeting at 11:45 with the Governor.  Please be there on time as this will be a brief meeting with him.

Please confirm that you will be attending both the special board meeting before and staying for the regular member meeting.
