The Rotary District 7490 Champions of Peace Award ceremony was held at the Fair Lawn Community Center on April 2, 2024.  President Jean Jadevaia's two nominees for the Champions of Peace Award were selected and honored at the event. Pictured above are award winner Kenneth Ehrenberg, former Paramus Chief of Police, President Jean Jadevaia, and Mrs. Saundra Ehrenberg.  The second award winner, Nancy Labov, founder and CEO of Alumni in Recovery, was unable to attend the event. She will be honored at a weekly meeting in the coming months.
 
 
A good time was had by one and all who attended the Fellowship Get Together at the Orange Lantern on Wednesday, April 3, 2024.  NY Blues Hall of Famer and Fodera Guitar Artist Dave Fields will be hosting an evening of blues, jazz, rock, funk and beyond with a live band at The Orange Lantern every Wednesday night.  Many thanks to owner Nick Laganella, Jr. for providing a smorgasbord of goodies for his fellow Rotarians who attended this fun event. Secretary of the Rotary Club of Paramus Elizabeth Spaeth, a/k/a Elisa Brown sang a few tunes for the crowd as well.

DISTRICT CONFERENCE: MAY 2 - 5, 2024
The District Conference for Districts 7490 and 7505, Celebrating Hope and Kindness, will be held at the Seaview Hotel in Galloway, NJ. The Conference cost is $325 per person.
 
DISTRICT DAY OF SERVICE: MAY 18, 2024, FROM 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM
For the Rotary District Day of Service on May 18th, The Rotary Club of Paramus will be participating in the Fundraiser Steps 2 Cure NF (Neurofibromatoses). NF are a group of genetic disorders that cause tumors to form on nerve tissue. These tumors can develop anywhere in the nervous system, including the brain, spinal cord, and nerves.  The fundraiser will be held at Overpeck Park in Ridgefield Park from 9:00 - 12:00.  The name of our team is Paramus Rotary Noon Club - Team Olive.
 
GOLF OUTING: MONDAY< MAY 20, 2024 @ EDGEWOOD COUNTRY CLUB
This year’s the event will benefit the October Foundation, The Black Poster Project, Alumni in Recovery as well as other Rotary Projects. Please join us in supporting these important charities. Your support and participation will help mitigate the substance abuse epidemic that is plaguing our country.

The Rotary Club 50/50 Cash Raffle will be held at the Paramus Elk's Club on June 7, 2024, from 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM.  The cost of a ticket is $100.
