Paramus Rotary Club Meeting of Thursday October 5, 2017

Paramus Rotary Club Meeting of Thursday, October 5, 2017

This week we had an emotional Thank You and Goodbye from our recent Gift of Life Child Charesse.

This was Charesse's last meeting since she has been given the green light to go back home. She has made a full recovery and is ready to take on life and live it to the fullest. In her goodbye she Thanked the Paramus Rotary for being so caring and making sure that she has the best of everything for her stay here. She recognizes us all as family and will always remember the Gift of Life program. She informed us that she will become a teacher in the future and she will work throughout her life ensuring that the Gift of Life is spread around the world and she will do the best she can to help the program. Charesse went ahead and gave out "Thank You" cards to all the Paramus Rotary members!

This presentation was then followed by the New Member Induction. We had two new members that were Inducted into the Paramus Rotary.

Our first new member that was inducted was Bridget Schindo, Community Blood Services, and she was sponsored by Frederick Rohdieck. Bridget was born in New York and then grew up in Paramus where she still lives today. She attended Montclair State University and received a degree in Consumer Affairs. She went on to work at Panasonic where she also met her husband, Peter Schindo! Together they bought her parents' house when they moved to New York and have lived there ever since. She is now working at the Community Blood Bank where our very own MaryAnn Siniscalchi worked! She is looking forward to working with the Paramus Rotary and its many projects as well as holding Blood Drives in order to increase the Bank's blood supply.

Our next new member was Jessica Witmer, Wells, Jaworski & Liebman, LLP, and she was sponsored by Stuart Liebman. She is originally from Ocean City New Jersey, attended Stockton College in South Jersey and then went on to Law School in White Plains. She is currently living in Jersey City and started working right here in Paramus. She is looking forward to all the projects and activities that Paramus Rotary has year round.

Paramus Rotary Welcomes all the New Members this week!
