We were very happy to have a large contingent of the Ray Wells family visiting with us today, especially our favorite “aunt” Betty Wells. Among the Well’s family members was Tom Wells who spoke briefly of how much Rotary meant to his dad, especially the Paramus Rotary Club. Tom Wells also presented a check from the Wells family member to the Club’s Foundation in memory of Ray Wells.

Our guest speaker today was Mary Connolly owner of The Cause Coach LLC who works with individuals guiding their journey to an extraordinary life.
After providing us with her professional and personal background (which included many stressful times, including the sudden and tragic death of her husband), Mary went on to not only survive but to thrive. It’s what she learned from that experience that led her to her current “incredibly meaningful career that aligns with the life she wants right now and where she has more of a passion for life then she has ever had”. The purpose of her talk today was to share some powerful information so that we can also live an extraordinary life.
- Be thankful for one thing everyday.
- Welcome help from everyone and anyone willing to give it.
- Seek professional help.
- Change your perspective from “wanting” to “needing”.
- Start seeing problems for what they really are, not the expanded version you create in your head.
- Realize everything is a choice.
- Stop being a control freak.
- Get in tune with your values.
- Visualize your dream and SET a goal.
- Create a plan.
“When goals, dreams and visions are in alignment with values,
life is easier and more fulfilling”.

This past Tuesday Paramus Rotary Club VP Fred Rohdieck along with Rotarians Len LoPinto and Rich Siniscalchi attended the unvailing/ribbon cutting of a new park created at Parkway School Paramus. Last year the Paramus Rotary Club donated $6,500 to create a park suitable for the 2-4 year old children at the Early Childhood Center. These funds were raised during the Paramus Rotary Club Presidency of Jay Leone (2015-2016). Unfortunately Jay was unexpectedly unable to attend the ribbon cutting.
Pictured is Jay Paramus Rotary Club Past President Jay Leone with the Thank You poster that the ECC children had prepared to present him.
The following are various photos from the unvailing/ribbon cutting of the new park created at Parkway School Paramus.
